Domaine de Beaumont, south of France
The Bastide d’Izard family settled on the Mediterranean coast of the south of France generations ago. They were attracted to this fascinating land, one of the oldest wine producing areas of France. It is here, in the heart of the Languedoc, that they started to produce wine.

Today, whilst retaining the very best of traditional wine making methods, the Bastide d’Izard family also embrace the very latest in wine technologies. They co-ordinate all aspects of the wine production themselves; harvesting, blending, bottling and marketing from their domains, Domaine de Beaumont and Domaine de Gauzy.

Producing quality wines
The Domaine de Beaumont has successfully integrated on 52 of the 70 hectares estate such traditional varieties as Syrah, Grenache, and Muscat etc., together with more recent types. This includes red varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, as well as Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay for the whites.

Through their agricultural practices, their goal is to preserve the environment in which they work and live. Reduced yields are the key to improving quality. It all starts with the quality of the grapes harvested and the best winemaking technique for each given grape variety.
